British tycoon Richard Branson has proposed to make a hyperloop from the Indian city of Pune to Mumbai. The plan is for the loop to go from Pune to Mumbai's new airport, cutting the travel time to 25 minutes instead of three hours. The idea was first sketched in 2013 by Elon Musk. Branson also plans to make hyperloops in Europe, Canada, the US, and South America by 2021. This wonder of science works like this: passengers are loaded into pods, and then put into a low pressure tube. Magnetic tracks allow the pod to levitate, and the low drag on the pod would make the pods go extremely fast. It can reach top speeds of almost 670 miles per hour, 10 times as fast as a train. In India, the hyperloop will transport, estimates say, over 150 million passengers a day. The area will turn into a thriving mega region for all. Just like trains shaped the 1800s, the hyperloop could shape the 2000s and centuries to come.
