US vs China: Three Strengths We Have That They Don't

50 years ago, no one could have imagined out of all countries, China would beat the US in production of steel and other materials related to it. However, today China is catching up to the US in all ways imaginable. Over half of the world's highest traded companies are based in China. The world's newest technological breakthrough, AI, is being lead by the US and China. It seems as though China will outrank the US in every way possible. However, this is not the case. The US has three strengths which will keep us ahead of the Chinese government. First, immigration. For decades, America has been a beacon of hope for oppressed people around the globe. Slowly, that idea is being shunned while it should not be. The world's brightest minds come to America to make the world a better place. Instead of welcoming people, we are rejecting them and are being prejudiced towards their ideals. Second, our allies. The US over the years has attained a large amount of allies. Countries like Canada and Mexico, as well as organizations like NATO and the TPP. These alliances hold economical and military benefits for Americans. When trade wars are taking place with some of our closest allies, it only hurts our country, not help it. Finally, our values. America was and can still be the example for many basic human rights, like freedom of speech and press. With the government's backlash against the media, it slowly squanders the rights of people everywhere. In the end, we have to find countries with whom we share these ideals and strengthen our bonds with them. We must protect these ideals, or the world will have a different vibe in the future.
