This article is an extension of the one published last week. The midterms are this upcoming Tuesday. The winners could either make or break our country's future. If the Republicans keep control of Congress, everything which has happened in the last two years will repeat itself. If the opposite happens, we will once again have a socialist agenda in Congress. Either of these results will hurt the country in a specific aspect. In order to have a successful government, we need to have a balance between these two parties. American politics has a global impact. When the Republicans took control of Congress and the presidency, extreme right parties also won in several countries all over the globe. All people have the same interests in mind: security, freedom of speech, healthcare, low taxes, and a bright future for their children. These interests are what drives both political parties. If we vote for the right people, all of the principles that America has been built will remain. Also, all of the negative aspects in our nation can be changed. We need to stand united on November 6, because if we do not, then our country will remain divided. All of these reasons make this year's midterm elections the most important in history. Abraham Lincoln once said:"A house divided among itself cannot stand."
